My name is Kevin Luna. At 25, I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. My pain was 15 out of 10, I spent about a month bedridden, and the prognosis hanging over me was a fused spine.
Let me be clear about this, because people get it wrong: my spine never fused, and I never had fusion surgery. A fused spine was supposed to be my future — I prevented it, through food and lifestyle.
I rebuilt myself with food as medicine — plant-based superfoods, fasting, movement, and never giving up. Today my pain sits around a 2 or 3, and I'm just getting started.
A fused spine was supposed to be my future. I prevented it. Bent, not broken.
The athlete
Before the diagnosis, I was a competitive diver — seeded #1 in the men's division, headed for the championships, until a freeway accident ended that season. I survived a car that rolled eight times with a broken collarbone. That fighter never left.
The turning point
My dad is the biggest reason I changed. His story — and what it asked of me — is the heart behind everything I do now.
The rebuild
Food as medicine became my life's work: plant-based superfoods every day, fasting, movement, and a community that refused to let me quit.
Today
I share both sides of wellness — chemical and electrical — and I'm building toward something bigger: a healing center with an animal sanctuary at its heart. More on that below.
